Biography
My name is Aziliz, and I’m 14 years old. I just finished 8th grade, and I’m looking forward to starting high school next year, especially starting a short photography class. I started photography when I was around 10 years old. It all started when a friend gifted me a camera, and since then photography has been something very important to me. I always like to carry a camera around because you never know when the timing and place will be just right to capture a moment!
Artists Statement
The main reason why I got into photography was the ability to freeze a moment in time. You’re able to share how you see the world at the exact location and at that precise moment. You’re able to store exciting, happy, sad and surprising moments with a simple click of a button. It could take us back in time, even as far as decades, and it could allow a person to relive memories as if they had just happened yesterday. I find that truly extraordinary!
I enjoy photography as my hobby right now, but in the future, I hope to turn it into a career and extend my education. I want to learn more about how to use cameras to the best of their ability and to learn different picture taking techniques.
