Biography & Artist Statement
I have a loving and caring husband, two great kids and an awesome granddaughter. I have had many hobbies throughout the years. I like quilting, working with wood, refinishing and finishing. I have been to a few painting parties, but my love for painting really started when my husband bought me a Bob Ross DVD. I remember watching him growing up and I thought he was amazing. After having the DVD for a while, I watched him paint a few pictures. I thought it looked simple enough. In March 2022, I got some paints and brushes and hit the canvas. And that is when I found out it was not that easy as mine looked nothing like his painting. I was getting very discouraged and about to give it up when, in one of his videos, he said “yours doesn’t have to look like mine, just paint what you see and it will turn out fine.” So that is what I did, and I was enjoying painting. The thing I enjoy most is mixing colors and finding the right brushes to use. I still haven’t found the right brush.
