Students from Storm Lake High School are learning more about the health care field while gaining hands on experience through an internship program with Buena Vista Regional Medical Center.
The week-long summer internship allows the student to learn more about various departments at BVRMC, including nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology and rehab therapy. Upon completion of the internship program, students will receive a $250 scholarship.
“We are excited to have student interns this summer, and hope this experience will be the first step for them on their path toward their dream job in the health care field,” says Executive Director of Human Resources Carrie Turnquist.
Scholarships and expenses are paid for by donors of the Buena Vista Regional Healthcare Foundation.
