Buena Vista Regional Medical Center is excited to announce the installation of a new fully upgradable scanning technology that combines the latest advancements in nuclear imaging. The GE Discovery 630 Nuclear Medicine Camera provides greater patient comfort, better image quality, and reduced radiation exposure during testing.
“The camera offers new features and improvements to raise the level of imaging performance and quality designed to boost productivity, enhance patient comfort and peace of mind for our patients,” says Alex Quintanilla, BVRMC Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
There are a number of advanced features to imaging excellence and unsurpassed patient comfort.
- 28″ wide bore configuration with 500-pound table accommodates significantly larger patient sizes.
- Outstanding resolution and exceptional contrast for superb image quality, all to help diagnose patients earlier and more accurately.
- Reduce scan times during the procedure.
- Ultra-thin design and auto-body contouring minimize the distance between the patient and the detectors for excellent resolution.
- Reduces radiation dose and exposure to patients.
“BVRMC’s new nuclear medicine camera sets a high standard for patient-centric care. In testing, patient comfort is key. We now have the ability to accommodate larger patient body size without compromising image quality,” explains Alex Quintanilla.
BVRMC strives to make advanced imaging technology more accessible locally. This is just another example of BVRMC’s commitment to providing our patients with the latest in diagnostic imaging technology. Patients can be referred for nuclear stress testing and take advantage of the benefits of the new nuclear medicine technology at BVRMC.
