STORM LAKE- Buena Vista Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Dr. Elizabeth Dupic is now seeing patients at UnityPoint Clinic Family Medicine in Storm Lake.

Dr. Dupic was raised in Clarion, Iowa, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Buena Vista University and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She recently completed her family medicine residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines.

Storm Lake has been an important place in Dr. Dupic’s life. Her older sister and younger brother attended BVU for their undergrad degrees. She also met her husband, Kyle, while attending BVU.

“I was always interested in coming back to Storm Lake. BVRMC is an excellent hospital and has the opportunity to take care of all sorts of patients; young and old, from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. I chose family medicine because I wanted variety (and to deliver babies), and BVRMC and Storm Lake gives me that,” states Dr. Dupic.

She credits her father for inspiring her to go into medicine.

“My father is a family doctor in Clarion and he is a big reason why I was attracted to medicine as a career. I appreciated the trusting relationship he had with his patients. I also love learning and medicine requires you to be a lifelong learner,” she says.

The Dupics are parents to two girls. Elise, 3, was born during medical school and Beatrice, 1, was born during residency. The family enjoys the Iowa Hawkeyes, baseball, and outdoor activities.
